Prayer Service x Baptism Service 8.30

Prayer
Come join us Sunday, August 30th as we celebrate two dear souls in our church proclaiming their faith in Christ.
We will also spend time praying together with our church community. Join us as we try and live out the life of prayer Paul speaks of in Ephesians 6:17-18. We will begin at 7 pm and hope you will be there to celebrate!

WORSHIP SERVICE ATTENDANCE UPDATE

All church members and guests are invited to attend church every Sunday, with the ABF Room utilized as an overflow room. The ABF room will seat 12 households (socially distanced), joining the live stream on a television and speaker. Our current attendance rotation will end, and Sunday morning seating will be first come, first served. Thus, those who wish to sit in the sanctuary should plan to arrive early. However, there may also be some folks with kids who prefer to sit in the ABF Room for added convenience, and they are welcomed to sit there straight away. And the live stream will remain available for those not ready to worship in person.

Our worship service time continues to be at 10:30 am.

Masks remain required for now, as a decision of the pastors (with the exception of kids 10 and under, and those with a medical exception). We will continue monitoring the state of COVID in Bexley and other communities, and make other adjustments as needed. Thank you for your patience. Prayer

The Deaf of Pakistan number nearly 2.2 million and are second only to India as the largest Deaf community of South Asia. Even with laws stipulating quotas for Deaf people to be employed, few have jobs, and most jobs don’t pay enough to sustain them. Some estimates indicate that less than 10 percent of Deaf people in Pakistan even attend school. Pakistani Sign Language is not recognized by the government. Often the Deaf are viewed as less than human and are harassed in public. Although Christian groups seek to do educational and humanitarian work among the Deaf, there are few evangelical believers in Pakistan and no Deaf churches. Pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send workers to share the gospel in Pakistan (John 4:25). Ask God to bless translation workers seeking to provide access to nearly 300 Bible stories in Pakistani Sign Language in the coming years. Intercede for Deaf believers, that they will have fresh ideas in reaching out to the Deaf in Pakistan.

Back to School

Prayer

Pray for those going back to school, whether it be home school, virtual or in person. Please pray for the safety of the children, educators, and staff, etc. Pray as they transition into the new school year with multiple changes, stresses, and unknowns. Let grace be at the center as mistakes are made and emotions are high.
