Community Groups

Community Group

Community Groups meet weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Now also on Sunday evenings. Visit our Community Group page to reach out to a leader.

God created us to live in gospel community, under the word and rooted in the person of Jesus Christ. Our focus is to bring glory to Christ, to orient our lives around the gospel, to focus on change, and fulfill our mission as Christ’s ambassadors. To keep a proper balance and guard our Community Groups against revolving around something other than the gospel, we pursue at least four primary goals for life with one another:

1. Progressive Sanctification (Growing Into the Image of Christ)
2. Caring for One Another
3. Biblical Fellowship
4. Stewardship of Spiritual Gifts

Prayers and Praises

Turks of Istanbul, Turkey

Prayer

(is-tan-BULL) - It's ironic walking through malls in the Muslim-majority country of Turkey at this time of year because one can see Christmas decorations and hear carols playing over the loudspeakers. In Turkey, many people decorate for New Year's Day just like the West decorates for Christmas. Most do not even realize that there is a difference between Christmas and New Year's Day, and they certainly do not understand the true reason for Christmas. While Christmas celebrations in the West typically end in December, Turks will leave decorations up through January. This provides opportunities for more spiritual conversations. As Turks celebrate the new year, ask the Lord to open their eyes to see the truth of the gospel. Pray that 2 Corinthians 5:17 will happen and many will trust in Christ this month and become new creatures. Ask that believers will make the most of every opportunity to share the true meaning of Christmas with their friends and family this month!
