UPDATE: Newlywed Round Table

We are hosting a Newlywed Roundtable for couples married less than 5 years. Mark your calendars and join us at the church building from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on November 6th. On this night, we will gather around for an informal time of sharing with each other and learning from each other in these early days of married life. Also, consider bringing a dessert to share.

Bexley Sidewalk Treats

We will need Paramount people to bring:

  1. Individually wrapped candies
  2. Small tables to place your candy on for distribution
  3. We need you to come prayed up for every moment crafted by God for us!

We have a great opportunity coming up on October 29th, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm as Bexley has decided to have Trick or Treat on the Sidewalk! Everyone will hand out candy to children and parents from the sidewalk. The people of Bexley will be out on their sidewalks and so will we make good use of the sidewalk around Paramount Church (corner of Merkle and Maryland)!

Community Groups

Community Group

Community Groups meet weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Now also on Sunday evenings. Visit our Community Group page to reach out to a leader.

God created us to live in gospel community, under the word and rooted in the person of Jesus Christ. Our focus is to bring glory to Christ, to orient our lives around the gospel, to focus on change, and fulfill our mission as Christ’s ambassadors. To keep a proper balance and guard our Community Groups against revolving around something other than the gospel, we pursue at least four primary goals for life with one another:

1. Progressive Sanctification (Growing Into the Image of Christ)
2. Caring for One Another
3. Biblical Fellowship
4. Stewardship of Spiritual Gifts

WORSHIP SERVICE ATTENDANCE UPDATE

All church members and guests are invited to attend church every Sunday, with the ABF Room utilized as an overflow room. The ABF room will seat 12 households (socially distanced), joining the live stream on a television and speaker. Our current attendance rotation will end, and Sunday morning seating will be first come, first served. Thus, those who wish to sit in the sanctuary should plan to arrive early. However, there may also be some folks with kids who prefer to sit in the ABF Room for added convenience, and they are welcomed to sit there straight away. And the live stream will remain available for those not ready to worship in person.

Our worship service time continues to be at 10:30 am.

Masks remain required for now, as a decision of the pastors (with the exception of kids 10 and under, and those with a medical exception). We will continue monitoring the state of COVID in Bexley and other communities, and make other adjustments as needed. Thank you for your patience. For the rest of the update please visit the Paramount Church website via this link here.

Prayers and Praises

IMB 175 Days of Prayer

There are more than 200 Sign Languages worldwide. The Deaf speak with their hands and faces. The grammar and vocabulary of Sign Language is different than a spoken language. A Deaf person may communicate words that are not in a hearing person's language. Their faces inflect in ways voices cannot. Signing is their way to connect. Even though Deaf individuals live among every people group of the world, they are often invisible and separated by a thick wall of silence. In many cases, they are separated from their own families when parents or siblings make no effort to learn the local Sign Language effectively. Christians can even isolate their Deaf brothers and sisters by bowing their head in prayer, failing to accommodate the Deaf person's need to read lips and see faces. Imagine the joy when attending Deaf conferences where communication flows freely or imagine the frustration when participating in an online meeting when connectivity is poor and the image quality pixelated. Pray for the Deaf peoples of the world, who understand symbols well, that they will discover the cross and understand its significance for salvation. Pray for increased sensitivity to the needs of Deaf in your community and for missionaries to identify opportunities to reach into their local Deaf communities.
