We will be having a Deacon Ordination Service on August 29, at 7:00 pm. We will appoint 6 new deacons. The service will be in place of the usual end-of-month prayer gathering, with a simple reception.

Community Groups meet weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Now also on Sunday evenings. Visit our Community Group page to reach out to a leader.

God created us to live in gospel community, under the word and rooted in the person of Jesus Christ. Our focus is to bring glory to Christ, to orient our lives around the gospel, to focus on change, and fulfill our mission as Christ’s ambassadors. To keep a proper balance and guard our Community Groups against revolving around something other than the gospel, we pursue at least four primary goals for life with one another:

1. Progressive Sanctification (Growing Into the Image of Christ)
2. Caring for One Another
3. Biblical Fellowship
4. Stewardship of Spiritual Gifts

1. What does God think of the poor and needy in Scripture? Share some passages which expose God’s heart for the downtrodden.
2. What are some ways even we tend to feign worship of God, not being altogether sincere? How can we replace these tendencies with true, humble worship?
3. Share with the group what God did in your life to turn you to Christ initially. And then share some examples of how he continues turning you back to Himself again and again.

This is our last week with the current ABF study. It has been based on the book "Pursuing Peace" By Robert D. Jones. The book walks you through, "A Christian Guide to Handling Our Conflicts". We hope you will join us every Sunday at 9:15 am!
